Sunrise Tutoring
Founded on Signal Mountain, Sunrise Tutoring is the first local tutoring company dedicated specifically to mathematics education in our mountain community and the greater Chattanooga area. We know the school year moves quickly, and it’s easy for a student to feel overwhelmed. Our goal is to provide a supportive, high-quality environment where your child can build a deep understanding of core concepts while staying in sync with their school’s pace. From basic arithmetic and Algebra to Geometry and Calculus, we offer expert K–12 tutoring and comprehensive test prep (SAT, SSAT, ACT, and PSAT). By tailoring our methods to your child’s unique learning style, we help them move from frustration to genuine progress in a short timeframe. Whether at our suite at 1309 Taft Highway or online, we go beyond simple homework help to build the confidence and problem-solving skills needed for long-term success.

About Me
Dr. Sun earned a BSc degree in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool, a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD degree in Mathematics from University College London. She has received rigorous training in mathematics across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

Dr. Sun currently works as an Upper School Math teacher at McCallie School and an adjunct professor at UTC. She is very familiar with the K–12 math curriculum as well as standardized tests such as SAT, SSAT, ACT, and PSAT. She has extensive experience working with middle school and high school students from different academic backgrounds. She enjoys guiding students to build systematic math knowledge, develop clear logical thinking, and gain confidence in problem solving.

In-Person & Online
• Currently focus on math tutoring for Grades 5–12
(K-4 by appointment)
• Middle school and high school math, including core and advanced courses
• Standardized test preparation: SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT

• Online tutoring available for flexible scheduling and remote learning
