Courses
We currently provide personalized math tutoring for Grades 5–12 across the Signal Mountain and greater Chattanooga area, aligned with Hamilton County Schools curricula—including honors acceleration, IB Diploma pathways, AP options, and standardized test preparation. Our focused support helps students master concepts, build confidence, and transition smoothly between levels, preparing them for success in rigorous courses and college admissions.
Foundations
*
Covers essential skills like fractions, decimals, ratios, and early algebra to build a solid middle school base. Strong performance here enables acceleration into advanced tracks and reduces future gaps.
Geometry
Standard/Honors
Develops logical proofs, spatial reasoning, trigonometry basics, and coordinate geometry. It earns one credit and connects core algebra skills to advanced topics in Algebra II and Pre-Calculus.
IB Math Applications & Interpretation
SL/HL
Emphasizes statistics, probability, modeling, and real-world applications with technology. It fulfills the IB Group 5 requirement (earning high school credit) and suits non-STEM paths, with HL offering deeper preparation for data-driven fields.
SAT / ACT / PSAT / SSAT Test Preparation
*
Delivers targeted strategies, timed practice, and concept review tailored to exam formats. Improved scores strengthen college applications and complement school coursework across IB, AP, and honors tracks.
Prealgebra
Standard/Advanced/Hons Algebra I Prep
Includes equations, functions, geometry basics, and pre-algebra to support middle school success and early high school credit. Completing this often earns Honors Algebra I credit early, fast-tracking students into Geometry and beyond.
Algebra II
Standard/Accelerated/Honors
Explores quadratics, polynomials, logarithms, exponentials, and advanced functions. It serves as the critical bridge to Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, or IB Math courses.
IB Math Analysis & Approaches
SL/HL
Centers on theoretical calculus, proofs, functions, and advanced topics like sequences and complex numbers. Recognized as highly rigorous, it earns credit, supports strong STEM university applications, and often leads to college calculus placement.
Algebra I
Standard/Honors
Introduces linear equations, systems, inequalities, and functions as the gateway to high school math. It fulfills one required graduation credit and leads directly into Geometry and Algebra II sequences.
Pre-Calculus
Standard/Accelerated/Honors
Focuses on trigonometry, analytic geometry, limits, and vectors as preparation for calculus-level work. It earns one credit and satisfies prerequisites for AP Calculus AB/BC or IB Math Analysis & Approaches.
AP Calculus
AB/BC
AB covers limits, derivatives, integrals, and applications; BC extends to series, parametric/polar functions, and advanced integration. These earn 1 credit each (or more with dual enrollment), provide college-level rigor, and often grant university credit (especially BC for STEM majors) while boosting admissions competitiveness.
